I had a mixed experience during my stay at A Lanna Boutique House. The location was really great, right in the city center, which made exploring Chiang Mai convenient. However, I noticed that the hotel could use some renovations as some tiles were popping up in the lobby and overall facilities felt quite run down. The breakfast was a nice touch, offering something different each day, and I appreciated the complimentary bottled water.

I stayed in a Family Room with Bathroom, and the bed was really comfortable. The room came with essential amenities like a fridge and air conditioning, but it definitely felt a bit outdated.
Service

The host was friendly and could speak Chinese, which was a plus for me. The service felt a bit lacking at times, especially when it came to fulfilling specific requests.

Being next to the Sunday night market was fantastic! I could easily walk to explore local attractions and enjoy the vibrant culture of Chiang Mai.

I was pleasantly surprised by the breakfasts which varied each day, providing some good options. It was a good way to start the day before heading out.
Facilities
5.0
Facilities were okay, but I noticed limited parking, as guests had to park by the roadside and move their cars every couple of days. Also, there was a lack of some modern amenities you might expect from a boutique accommodation.

I had a decent stay at A Lanna Boutique House. The location was fantastic, being right in the city center, making it easy to walk to many attractions (which I loved!). However, I found the breakfast lacking and the facilities needed some improvements, especially the bathroom setup.

Rooms

I stayed in a Deluxe Double Room with a balcony, but the bed linens were dirty and had several dark spots. The bathroom also had an awkward design with an open window above the bed.
Service

The owner was kind and gentle, but when I asked for help with logistics like booking a taxi, there wasn't much support available.
Location
8.0
The location is the highlight of this hotel. It's conveniently situated in the middle of town, making transportation and sightseeing a breeze.
Dining

The breakfast was mainly aimed at non-English tourists, and I didn't find it appealing enough to continue after the first day. Honestly, I expected more variety.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt a bit run down. There was no kettle for making tea or coffee in the room, just a kettle provided in the common area, but it was hard to get hot water from the dispenser.

I had a pleasant stay overall, thanks to the central location and friendly service, but I did encounter a few issues. The room itself had some cleanliness problems, and I found the absence of a lift quite inconvenient. Nevertheless, I appreciated the daily breakfast variety and the comfortable bed.

Rooms

My family room was spacious, but the bed linens weren't clean, with several dark brown spots, which was disappointing. Plus, the bathroom design wasn't ideal, with an open window above the bed.

The owner was really kind and approachable, although he couldn't assist much with logistics like taxi bookings. I did appreciate the staff's help with my luggage, especially since there was no lift in the hotel.

Breakfast was different every day, which I liked. However, on one day, I received a boiled egg that wasn’t cooked well, and there were no cut fruits available.

While the hotel offered some handy amenities, like daily bottled water, I noticed that it could use some renovations, especially since the lobby tiles were popping up.

The bedroom was spacious and had everything I needed, though the lack of a lift made accessing my room a bit tricky. Overall, it’s great value for the price and includes friendly service from the owner.
